This is an introductory seminar for those who are beginning to learn vibration engineering. Using diagrams, photos, and videos, it explains in an easy-to-understand way how vibration is generated, how it propagates, and the typical vibration problems that occur in the process. Even without knowledge of vibration theory or mathematics, participants can comfortably attend and gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals and key points of vibration engineering.
Do you have these problems?
- Do not know how to approach vibration problem solving
- Do not understand what types of vibration measurements exist and when to use them
- Do not know which measuring instruments to purchase first or how to expand measurement equipment gradually
- Vibration countermeasures have been applied, but vibration does not decrease
- Do not have a technical understanding of resonance
- Do not know how to interpret FFT frequency analysis data at all
Target participants of this seminar
- Design, development, production engineering, and maintenance engineers who want to learn vibration engineering from scratch
- Those facing vibration problems but unsure where to start
- Engineers who do not know how to interpret measurement and FFT analysis results
- Those who do not understand the basics of resonance and abnormal vibration
- Those applying vibration countermeasures but not seeing results, and who want to first understand the overall picture of vibration engineering
- Managers newly assigned to vibration problem countermeasure tasks who want to quickly grasp the overall structure and key points of vibration engineering for guidance and supervision of subordinates
Seminar overview
This seminar is an introductory course aimed at understanding vibration phenomena not through mathematical formulas, but through images and real-world examples.
It provides an intuitive explanation of how vibration is generated, how it propagates, and how it becomes a problem using diagrams, photos, and videos.
In particular, it systematically organizes key practical topics such as resonance, abnormal vibration, and FFT analysis, enabling beginners to grasp the overall picture in a short time.
- Understand vibration generation mechanisms intuitively using diagrams and images
- Systematically understand resonance and abnormal vibration using visual explanations
- Interpret FFT and frequency analysis results as meaningful information, not just patterns
- Organize the overall structure of vibration problems (cause, transmission, result) visually
- Acquire basic ways of thinking about vibration troubles in real-world situations
Seminar program
- 1. Explanation of resonance frequency measurement methods using diagrams and photos
- 2. Verification methods for whether resonance is the cause of abnormal vibration
- 3. How to deal with cases where resonance avoidance is structurally impossible
- 4. Specific explanations of abnormal vibration countermeasures (e.g., resonance avoidance)
- 4-1 Examples of finding vibration sources in machines and equipment and countermeasures (5 cases)
- 4-2 Design-stage methods for reducing vibration and noise (5 cases)
- 5. A practical method for identifying vibration energy transmission paths within machines and equipment, clearly explained with diagrams and photos. This clarifies where vibration energy should be absorbed or blocked.
- 6. Q&A
Main outcomes of this seminar
- You will be able to systematically understand vibration phenomena as a whole.
- You will be able to organize and analyze causes of resonance and abnormal vibration visually.
Required prior knowledge
- Not required. No formulas are used. Explanations are intuitive using diagrams, photos, and case studies, so even beginners can easily understand the overall structure and key points.
